CHAPTER 271
(House Bill 48)

AN ACT concerning

Somerset County Code of Public Local Laws - Legalization

FOR the purpose of legalizing the 1994 and 2003 editions of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Somerset County, both of which were prepared under the direction of
the Board of County Commissioners of Somerset County; and generally relating
to the legalization of the Somerset County Code of Public Local Laws.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1)     the 1994 and 2003 editions of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Somerset County, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
published under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners of Somerset
County, are legalized;

(2)     any pocket or loose-leaf supplement to the 2003 Code of Public Local
Laws of Somerset County that may be published under the direction of the Board of
County Commissioners of Somerset County are legalized;

(3)     the 2003 Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County shall contain
all public local laws relating to Somerset County contained in the 1994 Edition of that
code and those public local laws relating to Somerset County passed by the General
Assembly of Maryland during the 1995 through 2003 sessions of the General
Assembly and enacted into law; and

(4)     the 2003 Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County shall be
deemed and taken in all courts of the State and by all public officials of the State and
of the political subdivisions of the State to be evidence of the public local laws of
Somerset County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2003.

County Code relating to the clerk to the Board of County Commissioners;
