(3) (i) Information provided in printed form under paragraphs (1) and
(2) of this subsection shall be updated at least once a year.
(ii) Information provided on the Internet under [paragraph (2)]
PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2) of this subsection shall be updated at least once every 15
days.
(4) A CARRIER MAY MAKE AVAILABLE THE INFORMATION REQUIRED TO
BE PROVIDED UNDER PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION BY NOTIFYING
ENROLLEES HOW THEY MAY;
(I) REQUEST A PRINTED COPY OF THE LIST OF PROVIDERS ON THE
CARRIER'S PROVIDER PANEL FROM THE CARRIER; AND
(II) ACCESS THE LIST OF PROVIDERS BY OTHER MEANS,
INCLUDING INTERNET ACCESS.
[(4)](5) A policy, certificate, or other evidence of coverage shall:
(i) indicate clearly the office in the Administration that is
responsible for receiving and responding to complaints from enrollees about carriers;
and
(ii) include the telephone number of the office and the procedure for
filing a complaint.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2003.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland Medical Assistance Program - Maryland Pharmacy Access Hotline
Prior Authorization—Mental Health Drugs
FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from
establishing, within certain pharmacy assistance programs in the Maryland
Medical Assistance Program, prior authorization requirements or restrictions on
coverage for certain drugs used to treat mental illness and brain disorders;
providing for the application of this Act; requiring the Department to consider
the implementation of certain programs on psychiatric drug costs; making
certain stylistic changes; and generally relating to the Maryland Medical
Assistance Program and drugs for mental illness and brain disorders. requiring
the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to establish a certain hotline;
requiring the Department to distribute to Program recipients certain
information about the hotline; requiring the Department to notify certain health
