Formula for the Distribution of Funds to
Community Colleges

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
this appropriation shall be reduced by
$9,719,215 contingent upon the reduction
to the fiscal year 2003 appropriation for
the support of State operated institutions
of higher education.....................................

R62I00.07 Educational Grants

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$6,000,000 $5,000,000 $5,500,000 in
general funds designated to enhance the
State's four public historically black
institutions may not be expended until
the Maryland Higher Education
Commission submits a report to the
budget committees outlining how the
funds will be spent. The budget
committees shall have 45 days to review
and comment on the report........................

Funds are appropriated in other agency
budgets to pay for services provided by
this program. Authorization is hereby
granted to use these receipts as special
funds for operating expenses in this
program.
