(8) THE STUDENT MEMBER SERVES FOR A TERM OF 1 YEAR BEGINNING
AT THE END OF A SCHOOL YEAR

(p) Any action by the Board shall require:

(1)     A quorum of a majority of the [voting] APPOINTED members then
serving; and

(2)     The affirmative vote of a majority of the [voting] APPOINTED
members then serving.

(q) A member may not be a candidate for public office while serving on the
Board.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
or safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted.

Milk Products - Length of Sell-By Period

FOR the purpose of authorizing requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene to adopt regulations that establish the sell-by period for certain milk
products; and generally relating to the "sell-by period" of milk products.

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) In this section, "sell-by period" means the length of time a Grade A milk
product may be kept for sale.
