BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS - CAPITAL APPROPRIATION
The General Assembly is concerned that the
Office for Individuals with Disabilities
(OID) continues to experience problems
securing the cooperation of the various
agencies and departments in their efforts
to assure that Access Maryland projects
are initiated and completed in a timely
manner. OTP is requested to develop
additional policies and procedures to both
streamline the process and set a time
limit on the use of awarded funding. A
report should be submitted to the budget
committees by October 1, 2000 regarding
the new policies and procedures as well as
the progress made in improving the
process.
