(House Bill 433)
AN ACT concerning
Governor's Wellmobile Program
FOR the purpose of establishing the Governor's Wellmobile Program to provide
primary and preventive health care services to certain populations and
communities; specifying the purposes of the Program; specifying the geographic
areas that the Program will serve; providing that the Program shall be operated,
managed, and administered by the University of Maryland School of Nursing;
providing for the funding of the Program; establishing an advisory board for the
Program the Governor's Wellmobile Program Advisory Board; specifying the
membership of the board Board; specifying the terms of the initial members of
the board Board; specifying the duties, purpose, leadership, and minimum
meeting requirements of the board Board; authorizing the University of
Maryland, Baltimore to establish a nonprofit corporation to accept certain
grants and donations to the Program; requiring the School of Nursing and the
board Board to submit a certain annual report to the Governor and the General
Assembly; requiring the Office of Legislative Audits to perform a certain annual
audit; and generally relating to the provision of primary and preventive health
care services to uninsured individuals and underserved communities Governor's
Wellmobile Program.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

SUBTITLE 10. GOVERNOR'S WELLMOBILE PROGRAM.
13-1001.
(A) THERE IS A GOVERNOR'S WELLMOBILE PROGRAM WITHIN THE
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF NURSING.
(B) THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO:
(1) DELIVER PRIMARY AND PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO
GEOGRAPHICALLY UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES AND UNINSURED INDIVIDUALS
AROUND THE STATE; AND
