In subsection (a) of this section, the reference to an inmate who "is serving
a term of confinement" in the Carroll County Detention Center is
substituted for the former reference to an inmate who "has been sentenced
to a term of imprisonment and is confined" in the Carroll County
Detention Center for brevity and consistency throughout this article. See
General Revisor's Note to this article.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the reference to services "routinely"
provided is substituted for the former reference to services provided "as a
matter of course" for brevity.

In subsections (b) and (d) of this section, the references to the "Board of"
County Commissioners are added for consistency with subsection (a) of
this section.

In subsection (b) of this section, the former reference to "rules" and
regulations is deleted for consistency throughout this article. See General
Revisor's Note to this article.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the reference to the "Detention
Center" is substituted for the former reference to the "detention facility"
for consistency with subsection (a) of this section.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the reference to the "inmate
employment" program is added for clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former reference to regulations
governing the "conduct of" the inmate employment program is deleted as
implied in the reference to regulations governing the "inmate employment
program".

In subsection (c) of this section, the reference to an inmate's "term of
confinement" is substituted for the former reference to an inmate's "period
of commitment or sentence" for consistency throughout this article. See

(A) IN GENERAL.

AT THE REQUEST OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SOMERSET
COUNTY OR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN
SOMERSET COUNTY, THE DIVISION OF CORRECTION SHALL SUPPLY INMATES, IF
REASONABLY AVAILABLE, TO WORK ON PROJECTS TO DEVELOP, IMPROVE, AND
MAINTAIN PUBLIC AREAS, PARKS, AND RECREATION AREAS IN THE COUNTY OR
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.

(B) APPLICABILITY OF OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW.
