STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in Cecil County on November 3, 1998, an Act known
as Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1998 (Senate Bill 557) was submitted to the voters of
Cecil County in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1998, said
Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning
Cecil County - Board of County Commissioners
FOR the purpose of increasing the membership of the Board of County
Commissioners for Cecil County from three to five members; establishing a
Commissioner District Committee to recommend commissioner districts for the
Board of County Commissioners for Cecil County; submitting this Act to a
referendum of the legally qualified voters of Cecil County; providing for the
effective date of this Act; providing for the application of this Act; and generally
relating to the Board of County Commissioners for Cecil County.
And it is hereby certified that at said election, 10,204 votes were cast for the
adoption of said Chapter 33 and 8,897 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 33, the said Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1998 has therefore been ratified.

Election Laws, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 30th day of November, In the Year
of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-eight.
