(5) provide for the treatment of sick leave as credited service for employees
who transfer to the Retirement Savings Plan;

(6) provide that certain employees may become members of the Retirement
Savings Plan if re-employed by the County after they retire;

(7) provide that a part-time employee who becomes a member of the
Retirement Savings Plan must remain a member until the employee is no longer
eligible for membership in Group I or II;

(8) amend the definition of "credited service" in the Retirement Savings Plan
to include periods when a participant was a part-time employee contributing to a
participating agency's retirement savings program and certain periods of military
service;

(9) require employer contributions and allow participant contributions to
participant accounts for qualifying periods of military service;

(10) change the process used to determine if Retirement Savings Plan members
are eligible to receive disability benefits; [[and]]

(11) make a technical correction in Chapter 27 of the Laws of Montgomery
County 1996; and

(12) generally amend County law regarding the Employees' Retirement System
and the Retirement Savings Plan.
