AN EMERGENCY ACT to:

(1) place the assets of the County Deferred Compensation Plan [[of
Montgomery County, Maryland,]] in trust tor the sole benefit of participants and their
beneficiaries;

(2) assign trust responsibilities to the Board of Investment Trustees;

(3) generally reorder and amend Article DC of Chapter 33 to be consistent with
other County plans involving assets placed in trust under the Board of Investment
Trustees; and

(4) make clarifying and stylistic changes in County law regarding the
Deferred Compensation Plan.

(1) change the title of the Secretary of the Council to Clerk of the Council; and

(2) repeal obsolete language and make conforming, clarifying, and stylistic
changes in provisions of law relating to the Secretary of the Council.
