Charter Amendment Resolution C-l-98
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FAIRMOUNT
HEIGHTS, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said Town, said
Charter being a part of the public local laws of Maryland whereby the Town Council
assumes the power of supervision over the Town's expenditures and the hiring and
firing of Town personnel.
[Sections 1-10, 1-17, 1-38, 1-39, 1-41, 1-44, and 1-47 of the Charter of the
Town of Fairmount Heights, Prince George's County, as found in the Public Local
Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition
and 1998 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Amendment to Resolution No. 97-14
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-14 was approved by the Mayor of The City of
Frederick and was passed by the President of the Board of Aldermen on March 20,
1997, to enlarge the corporate boundaries of The City of Frederick by extending the
corporate limits of The City and to provide for the annexation of 34.196 acres of land,
more or less, on the western boundary of The City, as described therein; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor and Board of Aldermen's intention to amend one of
the conditions of this annexation to include a provision to defer the imposition of
municipal ad valorem real estate taxes in the event of a moratorium which delays the
availability of City services to the Property.
