(B) ON AND AFTER OR BEFORE JANUARY 1, 2000 AND EACH YEAR
THEREAFTER,
THE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS TO ALL AMBIENT
AIR MONITORING DATA IN THE STATE THROUGH THE INTERNET.

(C) AMBIENT AIR MONITORING DATA THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SUB
SECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION MAY BE IN SUMMARY FORM
AND SHALL INCLUDE, AT A MINIMUM, ALL VALIDATED AMBIENT AIR MONITORING
DATA THE DEPARTMENT OBTAINS DURING EACH CURRENT AND PREVIOUS
CALENDAR YEAR FOR THE 2 MOST RECENT CALENDAR YEARS FOR WHICH DATA
ARE
AVAILABLE.

(C) AMBIENT AIR MONITORING DATA PROVIDED UNDER THIS SECTION:
(1) MAY BE IN SUMMARY FORM; AND

(2) SHALL INCLUDE ALL VALIDATED AMBIENT AIR MONITORING DATA
FOR THE 2 MOST RECENT CALENDAR YEARS FOR WHICH DATA ARE AVAILABLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 355.

This bill revises and restates the laws relating to escape, contraband, temporary
release and home detention in Article 27 of the Annotated Code - Crimes and
Punishments.

House Bill 463, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May
13, 1999, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 355.
