AN ACT concerning
Public Right to Know—Air Quality Health-Disclosure Information
Ambient Air Monitoring Data - Public Access
FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of the Environment, on and after a
certain date, to provide the public with access to all ambient air monitoring data
through the Internet; authorizing certain data to be provided in a certain form
and requiring that the data include, a minimum, all validated air monitoring
data obtained during the current and previous calendar year for the 2 most
recent years for which data are available; defining a certain term; and generally
relating to public access to certain ambient air monitoring data requiring certain
air monitoring data to be made publicly available in a certain manner by a
certain date on or before a certain date and each year thereafter; allowing the
data to be presented in a certain form; defining a term; and generally relating to
air quality and information access.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

1-101.
(a) In this article the following words have the meanings indicated.
(d) "Department" means the Department of the Environment.
2-103.2.
(A) IN THIS SECTION, "AMBIENT AIR MONITORING DATA" MEANS MEASURED
CONCENTRATIONS OF AIR POLLUTANTS, INCLUDING AIR POLLUTANTS FOR WHICH
THERE ARE NO ESTABLISHED AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS OR EMISSION
STANDARDS, OBTAINED FROM ANY AN AMBIENT AIR MONITORING STATION
MONITOR ESTABLISHED BY THE DEPARTMENT.
