Section 13-602
Annotated Code of Maryland

(1996 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Environment

13-602.

Subject to the Program Evaluation Act, the provisions of this title and all rules
and regulations adopted under this title creating the State Board of Well Drillers and
relating to the regulation of well drillers are of no effect and may not be enforced after
[July 1, 2001] JULY 1, 2011.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1999.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 218.

This bill extends the sunset date for provisions of the Business Occupations and
Professions Article related to the State Board of Cosmetologists from July 1, 2001 to
July 1, 2011.

House Bill 236, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May
13, 1999, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 218.
