(II) FOR A STUDENT CURRENTLY ENROLLED AS A FULL-TIME
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT, HAVE MAINTAINED A GRADE POINT AVERAGE OF AT
LEAST 3.0 ON A 4.0 SCALE AND HAVE BEEN MAKING SATISFACTORY PROGRESS
TOWARD A DEGREE IN AN ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE LEADING TO A MARYLAND
PROFESSIONAL TEACHER'S CERTIFICATE;

(IV) (4) SIGN A LETTER OF INTENT TO PERFORM THE SERVICE
OBLIGATION UPON COMPLETION OF THE RECIPIENTS REQUIRED STUDIES;

(V) (5) ACCEPT ANY OTHER CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE

AWARD; AND

(VI) (6) SATISFY ANY ADDITIONAL CRITERIA THE COMMISSION
MAY ESTABLISH.

(C) A RECIPIENT OF THE MARYLAND TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP MAY NOT:

(1) BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION;

(2) BE A COLLEGE GRADUATE; AND

(3) HOLD A MARYLAND PROFESSIONAL TEACHER'S CERTIFICATE.

(2) (1) (C) (D) (1) APPLICANTS WHO ARE SECONDARY SCHOOL
STUDENTS SHALL PROVIDE A HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT AFTER COMPLETION OF
THE FIRST SEMESTER OF THEIR SENIOR YEAR

(II) (2) APPLICANTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN
ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION SHALL PROVIDE THE MOST RECENT COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT,
OR IF NOT APPLICABLE, THE APPLICANT MAY SUBMIT A FINAL HIGH SCHOOL
TRANSCRIPT.

(III) (3) APPLICANTS WHO ARE NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN
ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION, BUT WHO ARE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES SHALL PROVIDE A
FINAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT.

(4) APPLICANTS WHO ARE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES AND ARE NOT
CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION, BUT HAVE COMPLETED SOME
COURSES AT AN ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION, SHALL PROVIDE THE MOST RECENT
COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT.

(5) APPLICANTS WHO ARE NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN ELIGIBLE
INSTITUTION, BUT WHO ARE COLLEGE GRADUATES SHALL PROVIDE A FINAL
COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT.

18-2104.

(A) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, THE
RECIPIENT OF A MARYLAND TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP SHALL REPAY THE
COMMISSION THE FUNDS RECEIVED PLUS SIMPLE INTEREST THAT IS EQUAL TO THE
PRIME RATE OF INTEREST PLUS 2 PERCENT CALCULATED FROM THE DATE OF THE
FIRST PAYMENT OF THE GRANT AWARD UNDER THIS SUBTITLE FOR ANY PORTION OF
THE AWARD NOT FORGIVEN IF THE RECIPIENT DOES NOT:
