(4) ALL OTHER INDIRECT EXPENDITURES DISTRIBUTED BY THE
PERCENTAGE OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENTS BY COUNTY OF RESIDENCE;
AND
(5) ANY OTHER INFORMATION OR SUPPORTING DATA REQUIRED BY THE
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
(C) (1) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN EACH COUNTY SHALL REVIEW
AND APPROVE THE BUDGET OF THE RESIDENT CAMPUS IN THAT COUNTY AND MAY
REDUCE IT.
(2) THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE COLLEGE MAY APPROVE
TRANSFERS OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS IN ORDER TO
INSURE THE MISSION OF THE COLLEGE.
(D) THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COLLEGE AS OUTLINED IN THIS
SECTION SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE COMMISSION FOR INFORMATIONAL
PURPOSES.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, on July 1, 2000, all the
functions, powers, duties, equipment, assets, liabilities, and employees of the Charles
County Community College shall be transferred to the College of Southern Maryland.
SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all assets, land, and
equipment under permanent use by the Charles County Community College in St.
Mary's County Calvert and St. Mary's Counties shall be transferred by St. Mary's
County and Calvert County to the Board of Trustees of the College of Southern
Maryland.
SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That:
(a) The Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County shall convey to the
Board of Trustees of the College of Southern Maryland the interest of the Board of
County Commissioners in the real property on Route 231 in Calvert County that the
Board of County Commissioners holds jointly with the State of Maryland for
community college purposes.
(b) All construction projects for the College of Southern Maryland shall be
eligible for an increase to 75% in State funding.
(c) The College of Southern Maryland shall return to the Board of County
Commissioners of Calvert County the current community college site on Broomes
Island Road in Calvert County when the operation of the Calvert County campus of the
College of Southern Maryland is transferred to the site on Route 231 in Calvert County.
SECTION 6. 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Board of
Community College Trustees for Charles County shall endeavor to secure a stable
transition of the Charles County Community College to the College of Southern
Maryland prior to July 1, 2000, through advertising, changing of College letterhead
and signs, preparation of materials, processes, and activities as stated and implied by
this Act.
