CHAPTER 641
(House Bill 500)

AN ACT concerning

Natural Resources - Hunting - Deer

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Natural Resources to establish an
early black powder season for deer on certain days in October; requiring the
Department to limit hunting during a certain weekend of early black powder
season to antlerless deer; requiring the Department to establish antlered and
antlerless deer requirements in certain regions; providing for the termination of
this Act;
and generally relating to deer hunting.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

10-415.

(c) (1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this subtitle, a person with a
consolidated hunting license also may purchase bonus deer stamps for each type of
deer hunting season from the Department.

(2) A bonus deer stamp allows the person with the consolidated hunting
license to hunt 1 extra deer for each stamp purchased in any of the following hunting -
seasons for deer in the State for which the person has purchased a bonus deer stamp:

(i) Bow and arrow season;

(ii) Black powder season; and

(iii) Firearms season.

(3) The fee for each bonus deer stamp issued in accordance with this
subsection shall be $5.00 for residents and $25 for nonresidents.
