(3) In counties or municipalities that have adopted the standard building
code as of October 1, 1993, the Standards shall apply to all buildings and structures
for which a building permit application is received by the local jurisdiction on or after
August 1, [1999] 2001.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

State Employee Benefits Program - State Employees' Health Insurance

Advisory Council

FOR the purpose of increasing the membership of the State Employees' Health
Insurance Advisory Council; and generally relating to the State Employees'
Health Insurance Advisory-Council.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 

Article - State Personnel and Pensions
Section 2-505(b)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(1997 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Personnel and Pensions

2-505. 

(b) The Advisory Council consists of the following [15] 18 members:

(1) the Secretary or a designee of the Secretary;
(2) a representative of each of the following, appointed by the Governor:

(i) the Department of Budget and Management;

(ii) the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene;

(iii) the University System, of Maryland Administration;

(iv) the Department of Transportation;

(v) the Insurance Commissioner;
