68.
(A) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO NONEMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION
OR AMBULANCE BILLING SERVICES PERFORMED BY AN AMBULANCE SERVICE OR BY
ANY OTHER PROVIDER
(B) A COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION THAT COLLECTIVELY BARGAINS
WITH FIRE, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, PARAMEDIC, AND RESCUE PERSONNEL
MAY NOT CONTRACT WITH A FOR-PROFIT ENTITY TO PROVIDE THE COUNTY'S OR
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION'S COMPLETE FIRE SUPPRESSION OR AMBULANCE AND
RESCUE SERVICES WITHOUT THE ENACTMENT OF AN ORDINANCE OR OTHER LOCAL
LAW AUTHORIZING THE ACTION.
(C) THE REQUIREMENT THAT A COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
ENACT AN ORDINANCE OR OTHER LOCAL LAW, UNDER SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS
SECTION MAY NOT BE SATISFIED THROUGH THE ENACTMENT OF A LOCAL BUDGET
BILL.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That nothing in this Act may
be construed to provide that the requirements of this Act may be accomplished by the
enactment of a local budget bill.
SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning
Washington County - County Commissioners - Authority to License Home
Builders
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Washington
County to establish a licensing scheme for home builders; authorizing the Board
of County Commissioners of Washington County to set a certain license fee and
require a performance bond for certain home builders; and generally relating to
the authority of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County to
establish a licensing scheme for home builders.
