HIGHER EDUCATION

RT00.01 Support for State Operated Institutions

of Higher Education

The following amounts constitute the

General Fund appropriation for the State

operated institutions of higher education.

The State Comptroller is hereby

authorized to transfer these amounts to

the accounts of the programs indicated

below in

four equal allotments; said

allotments to be made on July 1 and

October 1 of 1999 and January 1 and April

1 of 2000. Neither this appropriation nor

the amounts herein enumerated

constitute a lump sum appropriation as

contemplated by Sections 7-207 and

7-233 of the State Finance and

Procurement Article of the Code.

RT00.01 Support for State Operated

Institutions of Higher Education for the

University System of Maryland

Undergraduate Education, Teacher's

Education initiative, shall not be expended

until an implementation plan has been

reviewed by the budget committees, or 45 days

have elapsed from the date the plan is received

by the committees. Further provided that

funds not expended for this purpose by the end

of fiscal 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
