rural areas outside of the 2-mile radius of those municipalities, the net profits shall
go to the general funds of Worcester County,

(4) The amounts paid to the mayors and city councils of Berlin, Ocean
City, Pocomoke City, and Snow Hill shall be used for general municipal purposes.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1999.

(House Bill 510)

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Liquor Control Board - Borrowing Limit

FOR the purpose of altering the maximum aggregate amount of money that the
Liquor Control Board for Worcester County may borrow from or be advanced by
a banking institution; and generally relating to the Liquor Control Board for
Worcester County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section l5-202(b)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(1998 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

15-202.

(b) (1) The liquor control board may borrow money from time to time from
any banking institution on its own credit.

(2) The aggregate sum advanced to or borrowed by the liquor control
board may not exceed the following amounts:

(i) Harford County — $75,000

(ii) Somerset County — $50,000

(iii) Wicomico County — $25,000

(iv) Worcester County — [$500,000] $1,000,000.
