certain responsibilities from the Department of Environmental Protection to the
Department of Permitting Services.

By amending Montgomery County Code:

AN AMENDMENT to the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of:

-    allowing dwellings by special exception in certain commercial and industrial
zones;

-    conforming the special exception standards for dwellings in a commercial or
industrial zone; and

-    establishing a base residential density, with increased density for the
provision of productivity housing as defined under Chapter 25B, Article IV,
of the County Code.

By amending the following section of the Montgomery County Zoning
Ordinance, Chapter 59 of the Montgomery County Code:

(1) changing references from "Health Department" and "Department of Social
Services" [[and "Department of Family Resources"]] in the Montgomery
County Zoning Ordinance to "Department of Health and Human Services"
to conform the zoning ordinance to Executive Branch reorganization; and
