Charter Amendment - County Bonds and Fiscal Procedures

A RESOLUTION for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Charter of Anne
Arundel County to provide authority to the County to issue serial maturity or
term bonds in accordance with an annual installment plan; reorganizing certain
sections of the Budgetary and Fiscal Procedures Article of the Charter;
providing the County with flexibility to issue bonds to provide funding for
specified classes of projects and to sell bonds by competitive sale for a price at,
above, or below par; making conforming changes to bond issuance requirements
and procedures to reflect changes to related Charter provisions; and generally
relating to County bonds and fiscal procedures.

Resolution No. 42-96

Charter Amendment - Exempt Service

RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Charter of Anne Arundel County for
the exempt service to alter the composition of the exempt service to provide that
a temporary employee may work up to 1,500 hours in a calendar year; and to
provide that, upon recommendation of the County Executive, the County
Council may, by ordinance, establish additional positions in the exempt service.

Charter Amendment - Core Groups

RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Charter of Anne Arundel County to
eliminate the requirements that the offices and departments of County
government be organized into "core groups" and conduct an "annual planning
conference".

Charter Amendment - Board of Appeals

RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Charter of Anne Arundel County to
allow the County Council to extend, limit, or modify the jurisdiction of the Board
of Appeals by ordinance in accordance with State law.
