(VI) ENCOURAGE PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS TO ADDRESS
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ISSUES IN THE AFFECTED COMMUNITIES.
(H) THE GOVERNOR SHALL PROVIDE OFFICE AND MEETING SPACE AND
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF SUPPORT TO THE ADVISORY COUNCIL
(I) ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 1, 1999, THE ADVISORY COUNCIL SHALL SUBMIT
A REPORT ITS DRAFT STATE POLICY ON ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND ITS
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE GOVERNOR, AND, SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THE STATE
GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1997. It shall remain effective for a period of 2 years and 1 month and, at the end
of June 30, 1999, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall
be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Queen Anne's County - Property Tax Credit - Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department,
Incorporated
FOR the purpose of authorizing requiring the governing body of Queen Anne's County
and the governing body of a municipal corporation in Queen Anne's County to
grant a property tax credit against certain property owned by the; Kent Island
Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) The governing body of Queen Anne's County and the governing body of a
municipal corporation in Queen Anne's County shall grant a property tax credit under
this section against the county and municipal corporation property tax imposed on
property that is not used for a commercial purpose and is owned by:
