AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Sunset Provision Lifted)

PG 323-97

FOR the purpose of repealing the sunset provision for certain alcoholic beverages
provisions that relate to certain legislative districts in Prince George's County; and
generally relating to alcoholic beverages in Prince George's County.

BY repealing

Chapter 499 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1996
Section 2

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 499 of the Acts of 1996

[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the changes made by this
Act to Article 2B, § 9-217(1) of the Annotated Code of Maryland shall remain effective
until September 30, 1997 and, at the end of September 30, 1997, and with no further
action required by the General Assembly, the changes made by this Act to Article 2B, §
9-217(l) shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect,]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program - Technician Certification and Repair Facilities

FOR the purpose of requiring the Motor Vehicle Administration and the Secretary of the
Environment to establish criteria for certification of repair technicians in
connection with the Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program; requiring certain
repairs to certain motor vehicles to be performed by certified technicians and
facilities for certain purposes; authorizing certain disciplinary actions against
certain repair technicians and repair facilities under certain circumstances;
requiring the Administration and the Secretary to make certain determinations;
