(6) findings and recommendations from relevant national advisory
committees, federal agencies, and peer-reviewed medical, public health, correctional, and
legal literature.
(c) The Task Force shall submit a report on the results of its investigation and
study, together with any policy recommendations, to the House Environmental Matters
Committee, to the Senate Economic and Environmental Affairs Committee, to the
Governor, and, subject to § 2-1312 of the State Government Article, to the General
Assembly on or before January 1, 1998.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year and, at the end of June 30,
1998, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Worcester County - Recording and Indexing
FOR the purpose of repealing a requirement that the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Worcester County record and index ordinances, resolutions, and regulations; and
generally relating to recording and indexing ordinances, resolutions, and regulations
in Worcester County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners

(a) A copy of all acts, ordinances, and resolutions adopted or passed by the
county commissioners of any county under the authority of § 3 of this article, certified by
the president of the board of county commissioners and attested by the clerk to said
board, shall be filed with the clerk of the court of said county, who shall record, date, and
index the same without charge in a volume to be provided for the purpose by the county
commissioners.
