SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
3-102.
(b) [(1)] The metropolitan district shall include all of Prince George's County
[except for those areas excluded under this subsection.
(2) The metropolitan district does not include the following municipal
corporations, as the municipal corporations' boundaries were defined as of July 1, 1995:
(i) District Heights; and
(ii) Greenbelt.
(3) The metropolitan district does not include an area that includes the City
of Laurel as its municipal corporate boundaries existed on July 1, 1995 and begins at the
intersection of the Patuxent River and the median of Interstate Route 95, then south
along Interstate Route 95 to the exact point where it intersects the Corporate Boundary
of the City of Laurel, at the point approximately 500 feet north of the intersection of
Interstate-Route 95 and Maryland Route 198, then directly southeast from the middle of
this intersection which then coincides with Contee Road directly to the intersection of
Contee Road and Cherry Lane, then south and southeast along Contee Road to its
intersection with U.S. Route 1 and the southern-most point of the corporate boundary of
the City of Laurel, then northeast, southeast, south, and east along the corporate
boundary of the City of Laurel, to the exact point where it intersects the Patuxent River,
then northeast, north, and northwest along the Patuxent River to its intersection with the
median of Interstate Route 95 1997.
(4) The metropolitan district does not include the following election
districts, as the election districts' boundaries were defined as of July 1, 1966:
(i) Election District No. 4; and
(ii) Election District No. 8].
