BUDGET AND TAXATION COMMITTEE AND THE HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
CONCERNING THE EFFECT OF THE PILOT PROGRAM WITHIN EACH AGENCY THAT
PARTICIPATES IN THE PROGRAM
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Council on Management
and Productivity, for the purposes of review and comment, shall notify the Senate Budget and
Taxation Committee and the House Appropriations Committee upon the selection of State
agencies that will participate in this Pilot Program.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997. It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years, and at the end of September
30, 2000, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated
and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Motor Fuel and Lubricants - Administration and Enforcement
FOR the purpose of expanding the hours for which the Comptroller shall have access to
motor fuel for inspection purposes or drawing motor fuel samples; authorizing the
Comptroller to inspect or draw samples from the propulsion tanks of certain motor
vehicles under certain circumstances; providing that the denial of access to motor
vehicles by certain individuals constitutes prima facie evidence of a violation of the
State motor fuel and lubricants law; and generally relating to the administration and
enforcement of the motor fuel and lubricants law,
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

10-201.
(a) (1) The Comptroller shall administer and enforce this title.
(2) The Comptroller may delegate any power or duty of the Comptroller
under this title.
