Article 5 - Calvert County
2-101.
Five county commissioners comprise the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert
County. The annual salary of the president of the board is [$27,500 ] $32,500, and the
annual salary of each of the associate members of the board is [$25,000] $30,000. EACH
COMMISSIONER MAY BE REIMBURSED UP TO AN ANNUAL TOTAL OF $2,000, FOR ANY
REASONABLE COSTS INCURRED BY THE COMMISSIONER IN CARRYING OUT THE
FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE.
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

(f) (1) The Sheriff of Calvert County shall receive an annual salary of
[$48,000] $51,000.
Article - Estates and Trusts
2-108.
(f) Each of the judges of the Court for Calvert County shall receive as annual
compensation the sum of [$4,500] $5,000. The salary of the Chief Judge is [$4,700]
$5,200. The County Commissioners may provide additional funds for expenses for the
judges. ANY COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT APPLIED TO THE SALARIES OF CALVERT
COUNTY EMPLOYEES SHALL BE EQUALLY APPLIED TO THE SALARIES OF THE
JUDGES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert
County, the Sheriff of Calvert County, or the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Calvert
County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning
the salary or compensation of the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County, the
Sheriff of Calvert County, and the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Calvert County shall
take effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.
