SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect

AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Energy Tax
PG 414-97

FOR the purpose of repealing a certain termination date for the Prince George's County
energy tax.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 700 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1987, as amended by Chapter
244 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1989, Chapter 174 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1990, Chapter 565 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1992, Chapter 576 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1993,
and Chapter 65 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1995

Section 2

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 700 of the Acts of 1987, as amended by Chapter 244 of the Acts of 1989, Chapter
174 of the Acts of 1990, Chapter 565 of the Acts of 1992, Chapter 576 of the Acts of 1993.

and Chapter 65 of the Acts of 1995

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1987. [It shall remain effective for a period of 10 years and, at the end of June 30,
1997, and with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997.
