5-216.

(a) There is a Deep Creek Lake Advisory and Review Committee.

(b) (1) The Committee consists of:

(i) The delegate of the Maryland General Assembly from subdistrict
1A of Legislative District 1 or a designee of the delegate;

(ii) The president of the Deep Creek Lake Property Owner's
Association or a designee of the president;

(iii) The president of the [Deep Creek Lake Business Association]
GARRETT COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ITS SUCCESSOR ENTITY, or a designee
of the president;

(iv) The president of the Maryland Bass Federation or a designee of

the president;

(v) The chairman of the Garrett County Commissioners or a designee
of the chairman; and

(vi) Three members appointed by the Garrett County Commissioners
in accordance with paragraph (2) of this subsection.

(2) Of the three members appointed by the Garrett County Commissioners:

(i) One shall be an owner of real property in the Deep Creek

Watershed;

(ii) One shall be an owner of real property contiguous to the buffer
zone surrounding Deep Creek Lake; and

(iii) One shall be a member of the general public in Garrett County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997.
