General Fund Appropriation, provided that these funds
shall be allocated to the county school boards based upon
where the new students enroll using the same procedure
established to track enrollments for federal impact aid
purposes. The available State funds shall be allocated to the
counties based on the number of children enrolling in each
county until the funds are exhausted. These funds are a
one-time operating grant for impact aid. Nothing in this
language is meant to preclude additional capital requests for
school construction funds needed due to the influx of
population to Southern Maryland.
