40.01.01.06 Program Services

General Fund Appropriation, provided that no
general funds may be used to purchase
residential services from any new provider in
St. Mary's County, not specifically authorized
in the fiscal 1997 budget.................................

receipts as special funds for operating
expenses in this program.

Further provided that the number of positions
shall be reduced by 3.

Further provided that funds may be
transferred to the Subcabinet Fund for the
purpose of assisting Local Management
Boards in providing continuing services to
children returned from out-of-state in
previous years who were originally placed in
the out-of-state setting by the Department
of Juvenile Justice. Funds transferred to the
Subcabinet Fund should be equivalent to
the number of months of in-state care
provided through the Local Management
Boards during fiscal 1997 to each prior year
returnee multiplied by the average monthly
cost of maintaining the child in the
out-of-state placement.
