REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48B, § 1(6), (8), (9), (10), (12), (13), and (14).

In the introductory language of this subsection, the reference to "service from
a motor club" is substituted for the former reference to "motor club service"
to avoid ambiguity from the use of a defined term in its own definition.

In item (2) of this subsection, the reference to "other form of security" is
substituted for the former reference to "undertaking" for clarity.

Also in item (2) of this subsection, the former reference to a cash deposit,
bond, or undertaking "acceptable" by law is deleted as implicit in the
reference to one that is "required" by law.

Also in item (2) of this subsection, the former reference to any traffic "law" is
deleted as included in the reference to "traffic ordinance".

In item (4) of this subsection, the former reference to a. group or blanket
policy "of insurance, as defined in ... [former] Article 48A" is deleted as
implicit because the group or blanket policy is "subject to the limitations of
this article".

Also in item (4) of this subsection, the defined term "authorized insurer" is
substituted for the former reference to "an insurance company duly
authorized to do business in this State" to use the defined term.

In item (5) of this subsection, the former reference to an attorney's "advice" is
deleted as included within the term "services".

(H) REPRESENTATIVE.                                                           

"REPRESENTATIVE" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO, FOR COMPENSATION,
SOLICITS OR SELLS MEMBERSHIPS, SUBSCRIPTIONS, OR FRANCHISES FOR A MOTOR
CLUB.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48B, § 1(15).

The former reference to "motor club representative" is deleted as unnecessary
because the defined term "representative" is used throughout this title.

The former reference to "any salesman" is deleted as included in the
gender-neutral reference to "an individual who ... sells".
