PARRIS N. GLENDENING, Governor                               Ch. 11

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 243L(d) and the reference to "the Fund" in
the first sentence of § 243(a).

(H) MOTOR VEHICLE LIABILITY INSURANCE.

"MOTOR VEHICLE LIABILITY INSURANCE" MEANS INSURANCE COVERAGE
THAT IS REPORTED AS PRIVATE PASSENGER AUTO NO-FAULT, OTHER PRIVATE
PASSENGER AUTO LIABILITY, COMMERCIAL AUTO NO-FAULT, OR OTHER
COMMERCIAL AUTO LIABILITY ON THE EXHIBIT OF PREMIUMS AND LOSSES PAGE
OF THE ANNUAL STATEMENT THAT ASSOCIATION MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO
FILE WITH THE COMMISSIONER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 243L(m), as it related to motor vehicle
liability insurance.

This revision divides the former defined term "[m]otor vehicle liability and
physical damage insurance" into two defined terms, "motor vehicle liability
insurance" and "physical damage insurance" because the terms sometimes are
used separately in this title. See, e.g., § 20-402 of this title.

The defined term "Association member" is substituted for the former broad
reference to "insurers" to clarify that those insurers that are Association
members are required to file the annual statement relating to motor vehicle
liability insurance.

Defined terms: "Association member" § 20-101
"Commissioner" § 1-101
"Premium" § 1-101

(I) PHYSICAL DAMAGE INSURANCE.

"PHYSICAL DAMAGE INSURANCE" MEANS INSURANCE COVERAGE THAT IS
REPORTED AS PRIVATE PASSENGER AUTO PHYSICAL DAMAGE OR COMMERCIAL
AUTO PHYSICAL DAMAGE ON THE EXHIBIT OF PREMIUMS AND LOSSES PAGE OF THE
ANNUAL STATEMENT THAT ASSOCIATION MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO FILE WITH
THE COMMISSIONER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 243L(m), except as it related to motor vehicle
liability insurance.

This revision divides the former defined term "motor vehicle liability and
physical damage insurance" into two terms, "motor vehicle liability insurance"
and "physical damage insurance" because the terms sometimes are used
separately in this title. See, e.g., § 20-402 of this title.

The defined term "Association member[s]" is substituted for the former,
broad reference to "insurers" to clarify that those insurers who are
Association members are required to file the annual statement relating to
physical damage insurance.
