AN ACT concerning

Pensions and Retirement

FOR the purpose of allowing certain sworn police and fire department members and
officers and certain correctional officers enhanced retirement benefits; deleting
certain obsolete provisions; providing for the modification of certain accidental
disability benefits provided to certain sworn members and officers of the police
department; modifying contribution rates for certain sworn members and officers of
the police and fire departments; modifying certain death benefits for certain county
employees; and generally relating to changing various retirement and death benefits
for county employees.

AN ACT concerning

Swimming Pools

FOR the purpose of amending the law regarding swimming pool enclosures in order to
provide that a pool cover may not be substituted for a fence, gate or other enclosure
designed to make a pool inaccessible from the outside to small children.
