Charter Amendment Resolution C-1-95

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
CHEVERLY, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article HE of the
Constitution of Maryland in Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said Town, said
Charter being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended),
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Maryland,
whereby the Mayor and Town Council find that the language of Section C-13 of the
Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Maryland requires technical revisions regarding open
and closed meetings so as to conform to current State law and further revision to clarify
that the Mayor is a member of the Council for purposes of constituting a quorum.

[Section C-13 of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Prince George's County, as
found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters (1990
Replacement Edition and 1995 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date July 28, 1995]

ENLARGING THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN OF CHEVERLY BY

ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING THE EXISTING CORPORATE AREA

OF THE TOWN OF CHEVERLY, NAMELY PROPERTIES KNOWN AS:

3323 (parcel 120), 3321 (parcel 129), 3315 (parcel 5)

64th AVENUE

LOT 114, KILMER STREET (parcel 114)

(2.6306 acres of land, more or less)

[Pursuant to Section C-1 of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Prince George's
County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal
Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 1995 Supplement).

Effective Date December 26, 1995]
