1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2)      In Prince George's County [,] the district council shall provide for the
appeal of decisions of the zoning hearing examiner in special exception and variance cases
to the district council. HOWEVER, IF A SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS CONTRARY TO THE
RECOMMENDATION OF A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION THAT HAS ANY PORTION OF
THE PROPERTY SUBJECT TO THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL
BOUNDARIES, THE DISTRICT COUNCIL SHALL REQUIRE A TWO-THIRDS VOTE OF
ALL DISTRICT COUNCIL MEMBERS TO APPROVE THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION.

(3)     The decisions of the administrative office or agency in Montgomery
County shall be subject to an appeal to either the board of appeals or other administrative
body as may be designated by the district council. In either county, the appeal shall follow
that procedure which may from time to time be determined by the district council. The
district council also may authorize the board of zoning appeals to interpret the zoning
maps or pass upon disputed questions of lot lines or district boundary lines or similar
questions as they arise in the administration of the regulations.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Revenue Authority of Prince George's County

PG 421-96

FOR the purpose of authorizing Prince George's County to establish the Revenue
Authority of Prince George's County; rewiring a certain hearing before establishing
the Authority;
specifying the purposes, legal status, powers, duties, and requirements
applicable to the Authority; providing for the membership, officers, and employees
of the Authority; authorizing the Authority to issue certain bonds and other
evidences of indebtedness; providing for certain exemptions from taxation;
specifying the authority of the County concerning the Authority; providing certain
penalties for violations of the regulations of the Authority; providing for the
disposition of the assets and obligations of the Authority on termination of the
Authority; defining certain terms; and generally relating to the establishment of a
certain revenue authority by Prince George's County.
