AN ACT concerning

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission - Front Foot Benefit Charges - Collection

PG/MC 36-96

FOR the purpose of requiring the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission to make a
certain annual payment to Montgomery County and Prince George's County for
certain services performed by the treasurers of Montgomery County and Prince
George's County relating to the collection of certain benefit charges; requiring the
WSSC to establish a certain payment as an item of the WSSC operating budget; to
pay Montgomery County and Prince George's County the same amount, and to pay
the counties by a certain date each year; providing for the effective date of this Act;
and generally relating to compensation by the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission for services performed for the collection of front foot benefit charges
within the Washington Suburban Sanitary District.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 29 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District

5-108.

(b) (1) The treasurers of Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, or other
tax collecting authorities, shall:

(i) Print upon their tax bills the following:

"To Sanitary Commission benefit charge $.....";

(ii) Provide a space on the tax bills for the interest or penalty;

(iii) Make the proper and necessary entries on all bills sent out; and
