Ch. 347 1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND (4) the faculty or any other unclassified employee of a State institution of (c) This subtitle does not apply to a separation from any position for which the (1) omitted by the Governor, as evidenced in the supporting documentation (2) struck by the General Assembly, as evidenced in the budget bill or in the (3) reduced by the Governor in accordance with § 7-213 of the State [(d)](B) This subtitle does not prevent the layoff of an employee who submits to [9-503.] 11-202. [(a) (1)] The Secretary shall adopt regulations to provide procedures that are [(i)] (1) the layoff of employees IN THE SKILLED SERVICE OR THE [(ii)](2) the reinstatement of laid-off AND SEPARATED [classified [(2) The regulations for the reinstatement of laid-off unclassified service [(b) In coordination with the Secretary, the University of Maryland System shall [9-502.] 11-203. An employee shall be laid off if the employee is in a position that will be abolished, 11-204. AT LEAST 60 DAYS BEFORE A LAYOFF IS EFFECTIVE, AN APPOINTING 11-205. (A) FOR PURPOSES OF A LAYOFF, AN APPOINTING AUTHORITY SHALL - 2230 -
