[7-103.

(a)     Credits for annual or sick leave earned by an employee under this title shall be
based pro rata on the number of workdays in the employee's pay period.

(b)     (1) Deductions from the pay of an employee for an absence from work
without pay shall be based pro rata on the number of workdays in the employee's pay
period.

(2) Deductions from the pay of an employee may not be made for an
absence from work for which the employee is entitled to leave with pay.]

[7-104.] 9-103.

While using leave with pay under this title, an employee:

(1)     does not lose any health insurance benefits with the subsidy allowed in
[Title 8, Subtitle 1] TITLE 2, SUBTITLE 5 of this article solely because of use of the paid
leave;

(2)     continues seniority and leave accruals based on the employee's regular
hours; and

(3)     except as provided in [ § 7-605] § 9-704 of this title, is entitled to pay for
the leave at the employee's regular hourly rate for the hours of leave.

Subtitle 2. Holiday Leave.

9-201.

(A) IN TIBS TITLE, "EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY" INCLUDES:

(1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, THE
HOLIDAYS LI
STED IN ARTICLE 1, § 27 OF THE CODE; AND

(2) THE FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING DAY.

(B) "EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY' DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS
LI
STED IN ARTICLE 1, § 27 OF THE CODE ON WHICH THE STATE MAINTAINS FULL
OPERATIONS:

(1) DEFENDER'S DAY;

(2) GOOD FRIDAY;

(3)     LINCOLN'S BIRTHDAY; AND

(4)     MARYLAND DAY.

IN THIS TITLE. "EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY' INCLUDES:
(1) JANUARY 1. FOR NEW YEAR'S DAY;
