Ch. 347 1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND (3) A credit under paragraph (2) of this subsection may be allowed only for (4) An eligible veteran who has been placed on a list of eligible candidates (5) Except for a position as a fire fighter or police officer, the age limitation (6) If an eligible veteran is convicted of a crime after being discharged from (i) the veteran is ineligible for any credit or preference under this (ii) if the veteran is certified by the Secretary as eligible for (c) (1) The Secretary may provide by regulation that, on all examinations, credit (2) A credit allowed an applicant under this subsection may not exceed 20% (d) (1) (i) In this subsection the following terms have the meanings indicated.
