PARRIS N. GLENDENING, Governor Ch. 347 (1) gives the applicant written notice of the reason for the proposed (2) allows the applicant an opportunity to submit a written response; and (3) allows the applicant an opportunity to meet with the Secretary or the [4-205. (a) On all examinations to determine the qualifications of an applicant entitled to (b) (1) In this subsection, "eligible veteran" means a veteran of any branch of (i) who has received an honorable discharge or a certificate of (ii) who: 1. on or before January 30, 1955, served at least 90 days in 2. on or before January 30, 1955, was released from military 3. on or after January 31, 1955, served at least 181 days of 4. on or after January 31, 1955, was released from military (2) The Secretary shall allow an applicant the following credits on all (i) five points if the applicant is an eligible veteran who does not have (ii) ten points if the applicant is an eligible veteran who has a (iii) ten points if the applicant is: 1. the spouse of an eligible veteran and the eligible veteran 2. an unmarried surviving spouse of a deceased eligible veteran. - 2145 -
