[(i)] (J) "Preexisting condition" means a condition for which medical advice or
treatment was recommended by, or received from, a provider of health care services
within 6 months prior to the effective date of coverage of the insured or certificate holder.

[(j)] (K) "Service benefit policy" means a long-term care insurance policy that
provides for benefits based on the amount of expenses incurred, rather than on an
indemnity basis.

(a) An insurer may not advertise, market, or offer a policy, CERTIFICATE, or
contract IN THE STATE as long-term care insurance or long-term nursing home
insurance unless the policy or contract complies with the provisions of this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Somerset County - Property Tax Credit - Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce

FOR the purpose of authorizing the governing body of Somerset County to grant, by law,
a property tax credit against real property owned by the Crisfield Area Chamber of
Commerce.

THE GOVERNING BODY OF SOMERSET COUNTY MAY GRANT, BY LAW, A
PROPERTY TAX CREDIT UNDER THIS SECTION AGAINST COUNTY PROPERTY TAX
IMPOSED ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CRISFIELD AREA CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1996.
