AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Class B Beer, Wine and Liquor Beer and Light Wine Licenses)

FOR the purpose of dividing a Class B beer, wine and liquor beer and light wine license
in Carroll County into a certain number of licenses, at different annual fees;
specifying when the licensees may be open; clarifying language establishing certain
restrictions on the hours of operation and the types of sales for a licensee under this
Act; making stylistic and technical changes; and generally relating to alcoholic
beverages in Carroll County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

5-201.

(h) In Carroll County the annual license fee is:

(1)      $160 FOR A 6-DAY LICENSE; AND

(2)      $1,000 FOR A 7-DAY LICENSE, WITH SUNDAY SALES PERMITTED.

(A)     [In] THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IN Carroll County [, notwithstanding any
other provisions in this article, the].

(B)     (1) THE following restrictions, limitations, and regulations [shall be in
effect] APPLY.

[(1)] (2) (I) Holders of "on-sale" licenses authorized under this article
may sell, offer for sale, or dispense alcoholic beverages during the hours of 8 a.m. and 1
a.m. the following day and no other hours. Holders of these licenses may not sell, offer to
sell or dispense any alcoholic beverages on Sunday except [that when]:
