SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL DESIGNATE THE PORTION OF MARYLAND
ROUTE 24 LOCATED BETWEEN THE U.S. ROUTE 1 BYPASS AND U.S. ROUTE 40 AS THE
VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL PARKWAY HIGHWAY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Volunteer Fire Companies - Length of Service Program

FOR the purpose of modifying provisions concerning service award payments for eligible
volunteer firemen in Carroll County to require, rather than authorize, the County
Commissioners to make certain payments; making stylistic changes; and generally
relating to a length of service award program for volunteer firemen in Carroll
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 7 - Carroll County

3-8.

(b) The County Commissioners [may] SHALL provide service award payments
from [such] appropriations as provided for in [Section 3-8(A)] SUBSECTION (A) OF
THIS SECTION to eligible volunteer firemen as certified by the Carroll County Volunteer
