AN AMENDMENT to the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of

- Enacting a new zone that provides for a mix of housing and employment in order
to foster a sense of community and reduce dependence on automobile travel at
appropriate master plan sites.

By amending the following sections of the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance,
Chapter 59 of the Montgomery County Code:

Division 59-A-2          "Purpose and Applicability

Section 59-A-2.1         "Definitions"

Division 59-C-7           "Planned Unit Development Zones"

Article 59-D                "Zoning Districts — Approval Procedures"

Division 59-D-l          "Development Plan"

Division 59-D-3          "Site Plan"

Division 59-D-4          "Diagrammatic Plan" (New division)

reflect the current submission, review and approval process for Sectional Map
Amendments and to establish a new corrective map amendment process.
