Correctional Services had not received FY
1995 per diem closeout data by December 1,
1995 and/or inmate days reports by October
1, 1995, the Department of Public Safety
and Correctional Services shall deduct a
20% penalty from the net annual
reimbursement payment for that
jurisdiction.
(2) For any jurisdiction for which the
Department of Public Safety and
Correctional Services has not received the
FY 1995 inmate days or per diem closeout
data by the above stated due dates, an
additional 20% deduction will be taken for
every 30 days after the due date that the
reports are received.

35.02.02.01 Maryland House of Correction
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$750,000 of the general fund appropriation
for the Division of Correction may only be
expended to upgrade the perimeter security
system at the Maryland House of Correction
and the Maryland House of Correction
Annex. This will improve security and, once
the system is installed, allow the department
to reduce personnel and operating costs
associated with monitoring perimeter
security. As a result of the savings
associated with improved perimeter
security, the Division of Correction shall
abolish 27 positions by June 30, 1996..........
