VETOES

(III) ADVISE THE BOARD ON THE THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS OF
STUDENTS.

(B) UNLESS INVITED TO ATTEND BY AN AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF A MAJORITY OF
THE COUNTY BOARD, THE STUDENT MEMBER MAY NOT ATTEND AN EXECUTIVE SESSION
OF THE COUNTY BOARD.

(C) (1) (I) A MEMBER FROM A COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT SHALL BE A
RESIDENT OF THE DISTRICT.

(II) A MEMBER FROM A COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT WHO NO
LONGER RESIDES IN THE DISTRICT MAY NOT CONTINUE AS A MEMBER OF THE COUNTY
BOARD.

(2) (I) A MEMBER FROM THE COUNTY AT LARGE SHALL BE A RESIDENT
OF THE COUNTY.

(II) A MEMBER FROM THE COUNTY AT LARGE WHO NO LONGER
RESIDES IN THE COUNTY MAY NOT CONTINUE AS A MEMBER OF THE COUNTY BOARD.

(3) A MEMBER OF THE COUNTY BOARD SHALL BE A REGISTERED VOTER OF
THE COUNTY FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE BEGINNING OF THE
TERM OF OFFICE OF THE MEMBER.

(D) (1) AT LEAST TWO MEMBERS, AT THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT, SHALL BE
MEMBERS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND AT LEAST TWO MEMBERS, AT THE TIME OF
APPOINTMENT, SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

(2) AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY
BOARD MAY NOT BE APPOINTED TO OR SERVE ON THE COUNTY BOARD.

(3) (I) AT THE TIME OF FILING AN APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO
THE COUNTY BOARD, AN INDIVIDUAL SHALL CERTIFY TO THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHETHER OR NOT THE INDIVIDUAL IS SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY
BOARD.

(II) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY NOT APPOINT AN INDIVIDUAL
TO THE COUNTY BOARD WHO HAS CERTIFIED AFFIRMATIVELY UNTIL THE INDIVIDUAL
OFFERS PROOF THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS NO LONGER SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF
THE COUNTY BOARD.

(E) (1) THERE IS A SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATING COMMISSION IN CALVERT
COUNTY.

(2) (I) THE SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATING COMMISSION CONSISTS OF 15
MEMBERS WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS BY JULY 1, 1996
AND EVERY 4 YEARS AFTER.

(11) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL APPOINT FIVE MEMBERS
FROM EACH OF THE THREE COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS.

(3) THE SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATING COMMISSION SHALL:
