Ch. 523                                    1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2) All net profits in excess of the above requirements shall belong to and be
paid over to the County Commissioners on or before April 1 each year.

(c) (1) On or before May 1 in each year the County Commissioners of
Dorchester County shall pay at least 50 percent of the net profits to the Dorchester
General Hospital, Inc.

(2)     The hospital shall use the funds for:

(i) The repair or expansion of the hospital buildings; and
(ii) The purchase or replacement of necessary equipment; or
(iii). Current operating expenses or deficits.

(3)     Any sum from the net proceeds above that paid to the hospital in each
year shall be credited by the County Commissioners to a special fund and, thereafter,
used only for payments of the principal and/or interest on any bonds or other certificates
of indebtedness which are outstanding and payable by the Board of County
Commissioners.]

15-305.

(a)     No member or employee of the [Liquor Control Board] BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS of Dorchester County shall have any financial interest, directly or
indirectly, in the manufacture of any alcoholic beverage, or in any alcoholic beverage
purchased or sold under the provisions of this article, or derive any profit or
remuneration from the purchase or sale of any such beverage, other than the salary or
wages payable for the discharge of the duties of the office or position, as herein
prescribed or authorized.

(b)     Any member of the Board, or any employee of said Board, violating "the
provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding two
thousand dollars ($2,000.00) or to imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.

[15-306.

No person, firm, corporation or association other than a member or employee, of the
Liquor Control Board shall sell in Dorchester County any alcoholic beverage except beer.
And no member or employee of such Liquor Control Board shall sell any alcoholic
beverages on Sundays or to an underaged person, mentally incapacitated person, or
habitual drunkard. This section shall not be construed to modify or supersede the present
laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages in Dorchester County without a license
and all such laws, with penalties provided for violation of the same, shall remain in full
force and effect as to all persons or corporations except the Liquor Control Board created
by this subtitle, which shall have the powers herein granted.] .
